    JOHN WILLIAM LYNAM
    John W. Lynam, son of John Foster and May Belle Reid Lynam was born September 7, 1908 near Grenola, Kansas.
    He died March 11, 1964 in Galveston, Texas. John spent most of his school days in Moline and he never lost the kind and friendly feeling he had for the people of this community.
    He graduated from high school in Howard, Kansas. John served in the U.S. Navy as Electrician's Mate First Class from 1939 to 1945.
    He was a world traveler and made friends regardless of race or creed. His father, mother, two sisters and one brother preceded him in death. Survivors: brother; Ralph Lynam, Paul Lynam and James Lynam. Sisters' Grace Derby, Rena Robinson and Edith Durbin. Military services were conducted for him in Moline Cemetery by American Legion Post 388.
