Facts and Events
In the late 1700s, three Lloyd brothers farmed a large part of Pwllgogan in the Parish of Eglwys Cummin, Common Church, Middlepool and East Pool. They were linked by marriage to most of the yeomen families in the area (i.e. the triangle of land bounded by the road from St Clears to Pendine, Carmarthen Bay and the River Towy). In particular, they had a family connection to the Reeses who were a significant family in Pendine / Laugharne. Somehow, they also had ties to the Hawarden and Kensington families who were major landowners in the area. |
