John Le Strange inherited Walton d'Eiville from his mother, but confusingly he had a half brother also named John.

Cecil L'Estrange Ewen already noticed his wife's name was Ida. Douglas Richardson found sourcing to confirm she was Ida de Clinton, daughter of John de Clinton and Margaret Corbet. Ida outlived John and remarried Baldwin de Freville by 1348.
