John H. Lenney Rites Held In Calif. Monday

Funeral services were held Monday in St. Paschal's Catholic Church, Oakland, Calif., for John Hugh "Doc" Lenney, 66, 10007 Burr St., Oakland, Calif., formerly of Warren, who died of a heart ailment June 29 at his home, following a three-month illness. Burial was in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Hayward, Calif.
Born in Champion, June 16, 1896, he was the son of John H. and Carolyn Parker Lenney.
He had resided in Warren until 1946 when he moved to Oakland. While here he was employed by The Tribune for 35 years.
A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Typographical Union 21, San Francisco, where he was a printer for The News Call Bulletin.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian McGinnis Lenney, whom he married July 20, 1931; a son, Thomas H. of Orange, Calif.; and a sister, Mrs. William (Florence) Harkins of Youngstown.
