John Kelsey (William1) was the second son and presumably the fifth child of William and Bethia Kelsey, and was born about 1636, probably at Cambridge. Mass.; removed to Hartford with his parents shortly afterwards; lived at Hartford; was one of the original proprietors of Killingworth in 1664, where he resided until his death on July 22, 1709. No doubt he is buried there.
