(John Winthrop) prescribed for Kelsey's wife six times between 23 February 1658[/9] and 21 December 1666, but never recorded her name (Winthrop Med. Recs., 153, 153, 192, 519, 646, 691). In the first of those entries, however, he supplies an important fact by recording her age as forty-six years on 23 February 1658[/9]. Thus she was born about 1613 and was living at Hartford in December 1666. We cannot be certain, but the apparent regular spacing of Kelsey's children [as Dr. Harris shows later in the article] suggest that this woman, whatever her name, was his only wife and the mother of all his children.
