link to image of will. John Jeffords widow Ann (divest to her the estate of her late husband of Brooklyn); Daughter Polly Weaver and land next to Benjamin Weaver, Daughter "Physilla" Angell wife of Thomas Angell; Grandson Benjamin Weaver; My grandchildren John and Eunice Holt; I give to Elmer Williams son of Benjamin Williams (Benjamin Williams was son of his wife Hannah Sawyer by her first husband John William Trader probated 1756. This is supported by DNA matching. Note several of John William's children were born to a first undiscovered wife and not Hannah). (Several mentions are made of "the Hannah Miller farm") I do hereby constitute and appoint my sons in law Remington Weaver and Thomas Angell to be executors of this my last will and testament. 27 Mar 1807 John (His Mark) Jeffords. The estate records are extensive. Since his daughter Mary/Molly/Polly died the same years as wife of Remington Weaver all of her surviving children are detailed in the estate. And because his grandchild Sally Weaver died even some great-great grandchildren are named including John Pierpont Chamberlain 1806-1871 under his guardian Calvin Chamberlain (his uncle). It is one of the finest genealogical treasure troves.
