JACKSON John Fred Jackson, 87, retired employee of the Home Telephone & Telegraph Co., died at 11.25 a.m. yesterday in a local nursing home. He had been in poor health for 10 months. Mr. Jackson resided at 2422 Shadybrook Dr. He had lived in Fort Wayne for 60 years. He was employed in the office of the local telephone company for 50 years until his retirement 22 years ago. Mr. Jackson was a member of ___mpson Methodist Church and the Modern Woodsmen of America. Surviving are the widow, Vinnie; one daughter, Mrs. Samuel Johnson, Fort Wayne; one son, Warren _. Jackson, Fort Wayne; one brother, D. W. Jackson, Indianapolis; three half brothers, Heber, Homer and Jess Jackson all of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Miss Cloe Jackson, Muncie, and Mrs. John Longnecker, Denver, Colo.; two half sisters, Mrs. Edith Fleckenenstein, Rochester, N.Y., and Mrs. Bertha Workman, Muncie; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the D. O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home after noon today. Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, the Rev. Clarence ___llins officiating. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery.
