D. A. R. approved patriot. Revolutionary War. During 1777 and 1778 he served in Col. John Topham's regiment in RI. During 1780 and 1781 he served in the companies of Capt. Samuel Shaw and Capt. David Husted, of the 6th Albany Regt. (4th Rensselaerwyck Battalion), commanded by Lt. Col. Henry K. Van Rensselaer.
