Regarding the possible parents and siblings of John T. Gill

John Gill d. ca 1838
The following estate record in Pickaway Co., Ohio, is a possibility for the father of John T. Gill:
John Gill Estate in 1838 - Vol. 1, pg. 9 is an Administrator's Docket - names Samuel Gill Administrator. The only other name I've found so far is that John's (d. 1838) wife's name was Susan.

The James Gill who md. Juliana Jones on 11 Jan 1831 in Ross Co. is related in some way to John Gill because they lived 2 houses apart in the 1840 census.

The family of Samuel Gill at Deer Creek, Pickaway Co., Ohio in the same time frame.

Taking into consideration the way families often named their children after parents, grandparents, and siblings, this other family may be significant. Note the similar children's names in Deer Creek Twp., Pickaway Co., OH in the 1850 Census:
Samuel E Gill 43, b. PA (1807), Farmer
Elizabeth Gill 38, b. PA
(1860 Census lists wife as "Harriet" age 43, b. OH - his 2nd wife)
Levi Gill 12, b. PA = b. 1838, d. 1909, Tulare Co., CA (Memorial #102205124 - 1860 Census says b. OH)
Sarah Anna Gill 10, b. PA
Juliann Gill 8, b. PA
John Gill 6, b. PA = b. 1842
