    Will according to wishes of John Gilbert, Mrs. Abby A. Gilbert his wife and Wm. Grindle his brother-in-law
    - To my Mother-in-law Maria Cook 120 acres more or less, being the same deeded to me by David Cook and his wife [his parents-in-law] in town of Beetown, Grant County, Wisconsins adjoining land of David Stewart and Samuel [J?] Cook, being the land where said David Cook and wife now live
    - 40 acres in town of Platteville and 40 acres in town of Lima, also all mortgages and notes due me and also all deposits in bank also all bebts due on goods in my store paid and balance to Abby Ann Gilbert my wife
    - Mr. E. Baily and Mr. John Grindel both of Platteville to be my Executers
