John FENIMORE was born about 1713 in Willingboro Township, New Jersey. He died in Aug 1777 in Willingboro Township, New Jersey. When Johns father died he was bound out as to the wishes of his fathers Will to a Mr Richard Redman in Philadelphia to learn the bricklayers or Masons trade. Johns will was executed on 13 July in 1777 and was proved on the 3rd of Sept. in 1777. When John died his estate included an island in the Rancocas River that was given to him as an inheritance from his father. The island was to be sold. He left a amount for five sons and 5 pounds Sterling to his "cousin" William Fenimore who was the son of his brother Richard. He also named his granddaughters Elizabeth and Sara Stevenson who were under the age of eighteen and his granddaughters who were of his daughter Sarah. His wife Sara and sons William and Joseph were his executors. John left tracts of adjoining land to Joseph and Benjamin who were both his sons. In his will his son Benjamin was to pay the wife of Benjamin Stevenson names Sarah 50 Pounds Sterling. Money went to his other daughters and his wife. Sons Thomas and William received land. William, Benjamin and Joseph also inherited "Bare Swamp" land. John estate was worth 1146 Pounds and 7 shillings. He was married to Sarah BRIAN on 3 Dec 1730 in Northampton, New Jersey |
