I have no proof that John B. Dugger is a son of Alexander Dugger. His connection is that he married Mahala Roberts, whose sister Mary Roberts married William Dugger, a probable son of Alexander. This doesn't prove John is a son of Alexander though.

John B. Dugger married Mahala Roberts on 11 Dec 1838 in Roane Co, TN. She was a sister of the wife of William Dugger, also a son of Alexander, that is probably why I suspect this John belongs in this family, as it was common for two or more brothers to marry two or more sisters.

John B. Dugger was listed on the 1840 census in Roane Co, TN a few pages from his supposed parents.
