    Both John and Rebecca are buried in the DEVILBISS BURI AL GROUND located in the front yard at the old OGLE-DEVILBISS farm home located along DEVILBISS BRIDGE ROAD about one mile off of Route 15 between Frederick an d Thurmont.exander Ogle, the youngest son of 'Thomas Ogle and Mrs. Elizabeth Graham. Rebecca was born in New Castle, De laware where her father lived before coming into MD along the Monocacy wh ere he owned considerable land. Rebecca's sister, Elizabeth was married to Geor ge Devilbiss, brother of John. Alexander Ogle, Jr, brother of Rebecca Ogle De vilbiss, inherited the plantation "0gle's Necessary Compact" when his father died. In 1806 Alexander Ogle.,Jr. moved to Bourbon Co. KY., and the fol lowing year sold the home estate 0gle's Necessary Compact" to John Devilbiss his brother-in-law for 4,000 pounds sterling. The estate at the death of John DeV ilbiss fell to Samuel Devilbiss., son of John and Rebecca Devilbiss. It is loca ted at the confluence of Fishing Creek and the Monocacy River.d by Mr. F. L. Pearce The old stone house has been restored and it is a beautiful place. The name of this property is 'Williams' Project" and the house was built by Reverend Williams about 1749.t cousin once removed,e immigrant George Devilbiss. Martha Devilbiss is buried at the Methodist Cemetery, Lewistown MDorge Devilbiss Jr, who died in 1806. John Devilbiss provided well for these two sons of Martha - when he died he left generous bequests to each of them. There were no children by this second marriage of John and Martha.
