Probated In Baltimore Co.,Maryland Book 32 277. Proved-BaltimoreCounty,Maryland. John owned a parcel of land called " Cross Park ", along with 50 acres of " Wheeler" land. In 1751 John granted " Cross Park " to his own son John. In 1751 he conveyed "Cross Park" to his son John. " Cross' Chance " 19 Aug. 1754: John Wheeler and John Cross deeded toAbraham Raven 50 acres "Wheelers Beginning", surveyed 7 Oct. 1716; also 50 acres " Cross Chance", surveyed 6 Feb. 1743; John Wheeler's wifeElizabeth and John Cross' wife Dinah cons. ( TR#D: 408). 1 June 1753:Robert Cross of Baltimore Co, and wife Hannah conveyed 19 acres " Cross' Chance" to Richard Griffee (WG#H: 46). John Cross' will: In the name of God, Amen, I, John Cross of Baltimore County, in the province of Maryland, Planter, being sick in body, but in complete and perfect Memory, praised be the Lord for the same, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testiment in manner and form following that is tosay, firsthand principally I commend my Soul to Almighty God my Creator in hopes of receiving full pardon and remission of all my sins and be saved by the Merits and precious Death of my Blessed Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ and my Body to the Earth from whence it was taken to be Buried in decent and Christian Manner at the discretion of my beloved Wife Dinah Cross and as touching such Worldly Estate as the Lordin mercy hath Blessed me with, I do hereby give and bequeath thereof as follows. Item, I give, devise and bequeath unto my well Beloved Wife Dinah Cross, All my Lands, Goods, Chattels, and Monies and all my whole Estate during her life and after her death to be Equally divided between my Children. Vis, Solomon Cross, John Cross, Benjamin Cross, William Cross, Zachariah Cross, Richard Cross, Asel Cross, Ruth Cole and my Grandson, Abraham Cross, son of William Cross to them and their heirs forever. But in case my Wife Dinah Cross, should and do Marry again, then I will that my Son, Solomon Cross shall administer upon my Estate, and I Will that then my Wife Dinah Cross above mentioned shall be first to her thirds, and that she shall have and enjoy only and no more than the One Third part of my Estate. and I do declare this to bemy last Will and Testiment.
