In the name of the Benevolent Father of all I John Critchfield of Howard Township Knox County Ohio do make and publish this my last Will and Testament. First my farm situated in Howard Township Knox Co. Ohio containing about sixty four acres I wish sold as soon after my decease as convenient in accordance with this my will and the laws of Ohio out of the proceeds of the farm I wish my Dackter bill Funeral expenses and the expenses of my sickness to be paid and the remainder to be divided between my brothers and sisters as follows. My brother Isaac Critchfield to have one hundred and ninety five dollars more than the eighth part of the proceeds of the farm. My brother Meshack Critchfield to have only five dollars out of the proceeds of the farm. The ballance to be devided equally between my brothers and sisters as follows: Lewis Critchfield, Nathaniel Critchfield, Pearus Chritchfield, George Critchfield, Lydia Rightmire, Amy Rightmire, Isaac Critchfield and Hannah Rightmire to have only half of an equal share her husband, John Rightmire to have the reamining half of an equal share of the proceeds of the farm. I wish my brother George Critchfield to have all my personal property moneys and credits and out of the same only pay all my legal debts contracted before my last sickness. I desire that no appraisement and no sale of the personal property be made and that the court of Probate direct the omission of the same in pursuance of the statute. I do hereby nominate and appoint my brother George Critchfield Executor of this my Last Will and Testament hereby authorizing and empowering him to compromise adjust, release and discharge in such manner as he may deem proper the debts and claims due me. I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made in testamony hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 31 day of July A. D. 1868.
