    MARY (x) PATTERSON

Executors: "Worthy friends Robert Campbell, Roger Daniel, and John Couch."
Witnesses: Robert Campbell, Roger (x) Daniel.

[cos1776 NOTE OF CAUTION: This wording is exactly as it is in Shield's abstract which makes it difficult to discern whether both John and Betsey Couch are deceased or if it is just one of them. It is also impossible to know if the "John Couch" listed as Executor is the same John Couch or possibly his grown son. Researchers disagree on these relationships. Some claim that Mary Patterson is the mother of John Couch. Some claim she was his 3rd wife. Evidence supporting any of these relationships is needed.]

[CONFLICTING INFO: This researcher claims to have a copy of Mary Patterson's will and that it was recorded in May 1796, not Feb 1796.]
