NOT to be confused with John Clark (b. 1749) of Augusta County, Virginia. Some researchers have confused the two John Clark's.

Will Transcript

In the name of God Amen January 10th, 1811. I John Clark of Greensville County being weak in body but in perfect mind and memory calling to mind the mortality of my Soul do make ordain, Constitute and Appoint this my last will and Testament, in manner and form follows, Viz:

Item I give and bequeath to my loving Mother Elizabeth Clark after mine and her just Debts are paid all my Estate during her natural Life to do as she thinks proper with, And also I nominate my Brother George Clark, as Executor of this my last will and Testament and all other wills heretofore made shall be null and void.

In Witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and Seal this the Tenth day of January Eighteen hundred and Eleven

At a Court held for Greensville County the 11th day of February 1811

This will was present according to Law by the Oaths of Samuel Clark and William Dupree Witnesses thereto and ordered to be Recorded, and on the Motion of George Clark the Executor therein named who made oath thereto & with Thomas A. Fox, Silas Knight & Edwin Clark his Securities entered into and acknowledged their bond in the ___ity of Ten thousand Dollars Conditioned as the law directs. Exrs Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.
