    Deacon John Chapin Jr. will was filed in Greenfield, MA on 12 September, 1815. Olive and Perly Chapin were not mentioned in his will dated 22 March 1814. He was prominent in town and church affairs, he became a Deacon in 1771 and an Elder in 1785. He removed to Heath, MA in 1804.

    On 28 May 1754, when John was 23, he married Rhoda Albee, daughter of Obediah Albee (29 Oct 1705-) & Jane Moss, in Mendon Worcester County, MA. Born on 1 June 1731. Rhoda died in Heath, MA on 19 July 1819, she was 88. They would have eleven children together.
