CARRIER/CARRYER, W. John--the immigrant, his estate was settled in 1777; records say the family came from England directly to Shenandoah Co., Virginia, where W. John is found in 1759; married Jemina NICHOLAS, possibly his second wife; he had 14 living children when his estate was settled, in 1777, and it is likely that some of his children stayed in England and that Jemina, a sister of Richard NICHOLAS, and their family came from England at the same time as W.
