The following is from "Charlestown Genealogies aft, page 167, by Thomas Bellows Wyman. John Call was born about 1635 and died April 19/1697. He was a Baker. Admitted to the church April 29/1662, of which he was a Deacon. He married on June 21/1656, Hannah Kettell, born 1637, died August 27/1708. Issue:- 1. John Call. Born 1658, died May 4/1713. He married on July 20/1681, Martha Lowden, born 1659, died September 4/1729. See subject 356 for issue and further particulars. 2. Thomas Call. Born 1660, died January 1/1739. He was a Baker and a Waterman. He married, lst, on May 23/1683, Elizabeth Crosswell, born 1666, died December 23/1725, and had seven children by her. He married, 2nd, Abigail Kettell, born 1679, died Septamber 17/1754, but they had no children. 3. Jonathan CalI. Born September 2/1663, died September 25/1682. He was a Cordwainer. He married Elizabeth Townsend who died January 2/l717-8 at Boston. They had three children. 4. Nathaniel Call. Born January l7/l665. 5. Mehitabel Call. Baptized June 30/1668. She married John Rand. 6. Caleb Call. Baptized August 2/1670. 7. Hannah Call. Baptized April 29/1673. She married William Hurry in 1689. 8. Esther Call. Baptized November 30/1675. She married Thomas Frothingham.

   JOHN, Charlestown, s. of Thomas, b. in Eng. m. 21 Jan. 1657, Hannah, d. of Richard Kettell, wh. d. 27 Aug. 1708, aged 71, had John, b. 20 Jan. foll. perhaps, and Thomas, both bapt. 6 July 1662; Jonathan, 27 Sept. 1663; Nathaniel, 1 Apr. 1666; Mehitable, 30 Aug. 1668; Calaeb, 2 Oct. 1670; Hannah, 29 June 1673; and Esther, 27 Feb. 1676; d. of smallpox, 1678, all the ch. then liv. But possib. this date of d. may refer, more prob. to first nam. John. Yet ten yrs. later there were John senr. and John, jr. at C. and easi. to be look at as f. and s. So that I prefer to regard this man as the one adm. of the ch. 29 June 1662, wh. was freem. 1671, deac. and d. 9 Apr. 1697.
