John Burrier, who was born August 29, 1859, died Saturday evening in his home at Carrollton. Services were held in the home Monday evening by his pastor, Rev. J. H. Lutz, of the Lutheran Church, and interment was made Tuesday at Kilgore. He was a son of John and Susan (Kohler) Burrier. He is survived by his wife, whose maiden name was Eva A. Long, and two children, Mary and Wilbur.

John Burrier died very suddenly Sunday morning at 5 o'clock. He had been ailing for a year or more and was under treatment of a physician in New Philadelphia, from which city he returned the day before his death. The physician encouraged him, saying he was getting better.
Mr. Burrier was born in Loudon Township in August 1859, and had nearly completed his 54th year. He was married to Eva Ann Long of Lee Township, who survives him, together with one son and one daughter, both living at home. He was confirmed in the Lutheran church and was a law-abiding citizen conscientious and inoffensive. The body was taken to Kilgore for interment. Rev. J. H. Lutz conducted the funeral services at the house and cemetery.
