Married Sarah Fitch, dau. of Thomas of Norwalk, who was mother of his children. As he was nearly forty when the first of his ten children was born, and possessed a homelot and lands, a prior marriage is likely, and he may have m. (1) before 1659, Mary Ward, who d. after 1665 without issue [see discussion under his bro. Jehu]. He bought lands of Charles and Michael Taintor, prior to 14 June 1656.
