    "Burr, John, s. of John. Commissary, Fairfield County, Mar. 1704. Born at Fairfield, 2 May 1673, d. in 1705; m. Elizabeth Hanford, dau. of Rev. Thomas of Norwalk, who d. before 1708. Elizabeth renewed her Covenant at Fairfield Church, 31 Mar. 1695. Inv. Nov. 1705. Widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Burr, to administer, with Mr. John Edwards and Moses Dimon. On 29 Apr. 1708, Edwards and Dimon rendered accounts; paid out for Mary and Deborah Burr's legacies, £124 [they were sisters of John]. Remains for distribution, £1146. Son Andrew; daus. Mary, Ann, Elizabeth. John Edwards appointed guardian to Elizabeth, and Mary chose him for guardian. Sergt. Moses Dimon appointed guardian for Andrew and Ann. Andrew had housing by will of his grandfather Maj. John Burr. Distribution to the four children was made 3 Aug. 1711."
