A tombstone inscription of daugher Margaret proves that her mother's name was Jane. On 6 May 1811, Andrew Yandell sold 200 acres on Tradewater Creek to John Brasher for $1.00 (Christian County, Kentucky, Deed Book c, page 1740. This "deed of gift" would suggest that John Brasher, Jr married Jane Yandell, daughter of Andrew Yandell.

On 25 September 1808, John Brasher and wife, jane, sold land on Tradewater Creek. (Christian County, Kentucky, deed book 1, page 367)
