Facts and Events
Jack, Jr., like his father, was an outstanding athlete. He was inducted into the Temple University Hall of Fame on February 5, 1973 where it was noted:
Captain of the 1930 football team. One of the finest all-around athletes in Temple history. Earned 11 letters, four each in football and baseball and three in basketball. Sparked the 1930 team to a 7-3 record. Played both offensive and defensive end, going the full 60 minutes in the game with Villanova. Team had a winning record every year he played. Was an outstanding pass receiver. Competed in baseball as a first baseman in the 1928, 1929, 1930 and 1931 seasons. Batted .350 in 1930 and was a good fielder. Deceased, January, 1973.[1]
