John Bevan was born in 1646, in Glamorgan, Wales, his father, Evan Ap John, was 46 and his mother, Jane Evan, was 36. He married Barbara Catherine Aubrey in 1664, in Wales. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 7 daughters. He died on 1 July 1725, in Llantrisant, Glamorgan, Wales, at the age of 79.
