The origins of John Bennett are unknown. He may have been related to Edward Bennett of Rehoboth (who had no known children, according to Great Migration Begins) or he may have been related to a Bennett family in Providence, Rhode Island. He may have married Ursula White, as is commonly indicated in online genealogies, but Torrey (New England Marriages to 1700) indicates that his wife was unknown (as of about 1960).
