John Bellows, s/o John Bellows and Mary Wood, b. Marlboro 1666, m. Hannah who d. 1719. He "probably" m. Dec 1721 Mary Wheeler of Concord, living in Southboro in 1749, conveying real estate to sons [Marlborough VRsS1, p. 26, b. 1711, to "John and Hannah"] Joseph and Moses [Marlborough VRsS1, p. 26, b. 1712-13, to "John and Hannah"].

  4.   Source:Leonard, Ermina Newton. Newton Genealogy, p. 40, matches Mary with John Bellows, 3d, rather than John Bellows, Jr., and gives Sarah Johnson the reverse pairing. This error was apparently taken from Source:Peck, Thomas Bellows. Bellows Genealogy or John Bellows, the Boy Emigrant of 1635 and His Descendants, p. 6. Source:White, Almira Larkin. White Family Quarterly, Vol. 1, p. 74, reports that Mr. Peck wrote a letter, after his Bellows Genealogy was published, noting that the will of John Bellows, 3d, names his wife Sarah, showing that his pairing was backwards. A look at the relative birth dates and martial statuses of Mary (Hosmer) Wheeler and Sarah Johnson supports this reversal.
