    Death of a Pioneer.
    John Bell, of the town of Shelby, this county, died Saturday afternoon at his home, of Bright's disease of the kidneys, aged 62 years. Mr. Bell is an old resident of La Crosse county, having been counted among its honest and responsible citizens for more than a quarter of a century past. Every old citizen of La Crosse knew him well, and he had the respect of all. In his own township he was trusted and honored by all and for a number of years was chairman of the town board. The funeral will be to-day.
