    John Beall was executor of his mother-in-law, Sarah Bell Magruder’s will, who d 1734.

    In his will John gives wife Verlinda land called New Dumphries, on Eastern Branch. He mentions his father Alexander and brother William. ...

    John Beall of Alexander and Ninian Magruder the elder are overseers of will of Wm. Offutt, made Nov. 10, 1732, probated June 10, 1734. Md. Cal. Wills, Vol. VII, folio 85.

  2. A book entitled Shenandoah Valley Pioneers and their descendants by Cartmell states that further west on the Potomac was the plantation of John Beall, grandfather of Thaddeus Beall.
