JOHN ALLEE was born in 1787 in Franklin County, Virginia. He later moved to Kentucky.

On August 28, 1818 John purchased 50 acres of land on Waters Mashes Creek in Barren County, Kentucky. (Source: Barren County, Kentucky Deed Book E, Page 22)

John married a Chocktaw Indian and stayed in Barren County, Kentucky. He was dark and was called "Black John."

John fought for the Union forces during the Civil War.

John died on February 13, 1865.
