patented a tract of land called Adamson’s Choice in then Pri(n)ce George’s County (now Montgomery County) Maryland in a district known as Scotland on Captain John’s Creek, about three and one half miles from Rockville, Maryland. John Baldwin and his wife Lucy settled on Adamson’s Choice immediately after the grant of the patent in 1726. The original record of this grant by the Lord Proprietor is in the Land Office in Annapolis, Maryland. - adamsonancestry.com Excerpt: Adamson's Choice was a 100 acre tract of land which was conveyed to John Baldwin Adamson by Lord Baltimore, proprietor of the Province of Maryland, on July 2, 1726. Adamson's Choice was then in Prince George County, later Frederick County, and now Montgomery County, in a district known as Scotland, on Captain John's Creek about three and one-half miles from Rockville, Maryland.
