Mr. John Mostrom, one of the early settlers of Worth County, died at his home near Tenold last Thursday, January 16. He was born near Bergen, Norway, Sept. 17th, 1845. In 1867 he came to America; he spent the greater part of the next five years in Wisconsin, but in 1872 he returned to Norway, where he was married. He brought his young bride to America and to Iowa, and settled on a fine farm near Tenold, where he made his home till the day of his death. Ten children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Mostrom; the widow and seven children are left to mourn the loss of a devoted husband and kind father. Mr. Mostrom was a quiet peaceful and unassuming man, honored and respected by all who knew him. His funeral was solemnized Tuesday. Rev. L.O. Pederson officiating and the remains were laid to rest in the beautiful Elk Creek cemetery.
