[edit] ObituaryApril 3, 1927 - Oct. 20, 2009 Johanna "Billie" Miller peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 20, with her loving family at her side. She was 82 years young. She was born on April 3, 1927, in Brewster, Kan., to William and Mary Meyer. She married Harold A. Miller, the love of her life for 62 years, on Feb. 10, 1946. Billie and Harold moved to Corvallis in 1955. Billie worked for the admissions office at Oregon State University for 25 years. She is survived by daughters Sharon Bassett and husband, Frank, of Minnesota, and Roberta Miller of Albany; son, Dan Miller, and wife, Colleen, of Salem; three grandchildren, Danelle, Darci and Nick; five great-grandchildren; sisters Jean Wilder and Gladys Gann; and brother Douglas Meyer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, and a great-grandson, Franklin James. Billie will be missed by family and many friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at Corvallis Manor for their respectful and loving care for the past two and a half years. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at the First Assembly of God Church in Albany. The casket will be open for one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at Twin Oaks Cemetery. |
