There are two Leonards and both had wives Catherine. I think they both are Johann Leonardt Zepp but both used Leonard in English. They were Uncle/nephew. These couples lived 4 miles apart from each other. One Leonard Zepp/Zeb/Sepp served in 2nd Regiment of Baltimore during War of 1812 Under Capt. Adam Shower from July 26 to Dec 1 1814 And one served 2nd Regt under Capt. Schutz Could be same man or different men.
Johann Peter Zepp had son Johann Leonard Zepp born 1764. He died 1818 and has wife Catherine (Formwalt) (married 1805) next to him d. 1834 and buried in Westminster. Her Formwalt parents are also buried in Westminster (at Kriders). He could have served but would have been older than typical ages.
Johann Peter Zepp had son Peter Zepp born 1760 who had son Johann Leonhart Zepp born 1785 died ca 1838. His wife Catherine (?) has stone at Bachman Valley says died 1857. Cant find marriage though above 1805 date would have made more sense for him but since she is at Bachmann Valley not likely the Formwalt. Bachman Valey is closer to York line so could have married in PA.
