JOHANN HEINRICH was the owner of the Half Heir Farm in Broxten 10, and thus one of the most prominent men in the Venne area. Broxten was a "suburb" of Venne. The number "10" was probably a house number.

Almost all the residents of the area were farmers. In the social order, there were 7 categories of farmers. A "Half-Heir" farmer (Halberbe) was the next to highest in status, and almost never migrated. The title of "Half-Heir" was created in the Middle Ages, in Saxon areas.
