According to one Stutzman researcher (dstutzma@@tampabay.rr.com) "Johann Christian Stutzman served in the first City Troop of Philadelphia in the French and Indian War. In 1766, he, a widower, married Eva Elizabeth Redebach in St. Michael's and Zion Evangelical Church in Philadelphia. The family eventually settled in Berks County, PA. During the Revolution, Christian joined Captain John Huling's Company of the 2nd Pennsylvania Battalion. After the War, he moved to Hegins Township, Schuylkill County, PA where he died. His grave was marked by the DAR in 1949. Christian, Jr. born 1763, was his son with his first wife. Johannes, born 1784, Johan Adam, born 1787, and Gottfried, born 1790 were his sons with Eva Elizabeth".
