His family consisted of three boys and five girls, of whom Henry, the father of Henry K. Strauser, was the oldest son. Henry, the elder, died in 1830, seventy years old. Henry, the younger, died October 28, 1865, nearly eighty-two years old. Henry K. Strauser has held numerous civil offices. He is at present a justice of the peace."

There is a puzzling listing of children of this family, which includes those 6 listed plus: Phillip, b. ca 1790-1796 of Ross Co., David, b. ca 1798 of Ross Co., Julia, b. ca 1803 of Ross Co., Catherine, b. ca 1795-1801 of Ross Co., and Ann Maria, b. ca 1799-1805 of Ross Co. in the Mormon records.

In Pioneer Record of Ross County, Colerain Township, pg. 101: Henry Strauser, Joseph Poland, Isaac Harper, Isaac Larich, George Flanagan, Jacob Boucher and Conrad Rudy were all early pioneers and came at the same time.
