Johann Schottmann ist Juli 1860 nach Amerika ausgewandert
- John was born in Burgsteinfurt, Westphalia, Germany son of Johan Schottman and Anna C Teigeler. He immigrated to Illinois in 1860. In 1870 he was living on his brother Gerhard Schottman's farm.
John married Catherina Lindhoff. They had at least one child George Schottman born ca. 1881.
John was buried in St Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery on Feb 2, 1928.
