Source: Family notes of Clara Louise Earnhardt from her son W. R. Osborne, III: " ... They were members of the Lutheran Church near New London, NC and some of the members of the family are buried there, however, George and Lucy are buried in their old family graveyard on the farm where they lived, and farmed, about one mile south of New London, NC. The graves are now in a cow pasture of the late Doctor Centers, and some of the stones have been destroyed. George names his children in his will, dated July 22, 1859, Stanly Co., Albemarle, NC Court House."

From an email from Martha Brooks, his 3rd great grandaughter on 4/23/03: "My records show that my 3rd great grandparents, Lucy Parker and George Earnhardt, were buried in the Earnhardt-Miller cemetery two miles east of North Stanly High School on the north side of NC State Road 1519 in a pasture on a hill in Stanly Co., NC, but I did not know that my 2nd great grandfather might have been buried there as well. You mention in your notes about William T. Earnhardt (from Clara Louise Earnhardt through her son, W. R. Osborne, III) that George, Lucy, and John Wilson Earnhardt are "buried on the farm where George and Lucy lived."
