About Job Combs

Job Combs appears to have been married four times. The name of his first wife, the mother of Job's son, Zur Combs, has not yet been discovered. She must have died within a few years of Zur's birth, as Job married again in 1770 to Deborah Hopkins, the mother of most of Job's children. Zur Combs is named in the will of his younger half-brother, John Ross, who died in Ross County, Ohio in 1810. According to IGI, Job Combs died in Shenandoah County, Virginia, likely before his family migrated to possibly Tennessee, then to Ross County, Ohio.
