Jacob's birth place has been provided as both Metting and Birkenwald because both those places are listed on the marriage documentation. I have provided a translation of the marriage record on the family page for Jacob Lehrer and Elisabeth Hennau and it does not state that either location is where he was born but from these two options, Birkenwald would be the most likely, however I have not yet confirmed that this is where he was born.

Potential Siblings

It seems highly likely that Christianus Lehrer was a brother or cousin as they were both born around 1670 and they were both living in Birkenwald with their families.

Another potential brother or cousin is Georges or Georg Lehrer who was born about 1650-1660 and there is a family connection to Metting. He got married and lived in nearby Schalbach.

Death: Deed of Jacques Lehrer from the Archives Department of Bas Rhine was in Latin and my translation is:

Today the 1st of July 1729 Jacques Lehrer died.

He has received the sacrament of the Eucharist and the anointing and is duly protected in the name of the Lord. Buried within Birkwald on the 2nd of July 1729
