Bio: Jessie Stanley Hankins, 50, of Muncie, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 at her residence.Jessie was born May 2, 1960 in Rushville where she attended Rushville schools.She was a home maker, housewife, mother and grandmother.She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Charles W. Hankins; one son, Chad Hankins of Muncie; one daughter, Heidi Lancaster (and husband, James) of Muncie; six brothers, Robert Stanley, Mont Stanley, Tom Stanley, Bobby Joe Stanley, Ted Stanley, all of Muncie, and George Stanley of Gaston; two sisters, Betsy Stanley of Gaston and Rachel Stanley of Florida; one granddaughter, Ariana Hankins; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded on death by her parents, Tom and Edna (Johnson) Stanley; and three brothers, Danny Johnson, Edward Pennington and Dickie George Stanley.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gant Funeral Home, Gaston Chapel.Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery south of Gaston.Calling was Monday and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
