West of the County of Christian & State of Kentucky, Moses Austin & his wife Aquilla Mahala late Aquilla Mahala West of the County of Weakley and State of Tennessee, Frederick F. Williams and Martha A. his wife late Martha A. West of the County of Henry and State of Tennessee, William Stroud and Mary S. his wife late Mary S. West of the County of Calloway & State of Kentucky, Charles B. West of Graves County Kentucky, Thomas A. West of Holt County Missouri and the following named children of Jesse West Dec'd. Viz Harmon R. S. W. West of Warren County Illinois, John M. West of Weakley County Tennessee, Amos S. West of Graves County Kentucky, William E. West and Sarah West of Todd County Kentucky and Susan C. West of Christian County Kentucky Children and heirs of Charles West deceased of the first part and Orran A. West of the County of Christian and State of Kentucky of the second part. [The party of the first part agreed to give 200 acres of land lying on the west fork of Pond River and $104 promissary note would be surrended and given up to Orran A. West in exchange for his full portion of the Estate of Charles H. West.] [The promissary note was surrendered by the William E. West and Charles B. West, Administrators of the Estate of Charles H. JAMES K. WEST was born June 24, 1833, on the place where he now resides, in Christian County, Ky.; his father, Jesse West, was born here in 1798, and also died on this place in 1843. He was the son of Charles West, who was born in South Carolina, and died in Christian County. Subject's mother, Martha, daughter of Jacob Pruitt, was born in 1803, in Illinois, and died here in 1880. The children of the family consist of Henson R., John M., Amos S., William E., Susan C., Sally R. (Cooper), Charles P., Eliza S., Francis M. and James K. (twins), Jesse W., Harmon N. and Henry H. James K. West has never married; he is a farmer, owning 245 acres of land of a fair quality, on which he cultivates wheat, corn, tobacco and clover. The place on which he resides was one among the earliest settled in the county. Mr. West is a member of the Blue Lodge, A. F. & A. M., and a member of the Christian Church.
