David Osteen, brother of Jesse Osteen, was living in Morgan County Alabama in 1833 when he applied for his Revolutionary War Pension. He served as a private in the North Carolina militia during the war. He enlisted while living in Carteret Co N.C. He later moved to Onslow Co N.C. where he lived for 12 Yrs prior to moving to Davidson Co Tennessee. He later moved to Wayne Co TN, then to Limeston Co Al, then to Morgan Co Al. He last moved to Bedford Co Tn to live with his son Edward or John Osteen. There was a Esther Osteen born in Cateret Co N.C. in 1768-surely a relative of David and Jesse Osteen. Jesse Osteen owned land in Indian Creek, Wayne County, Tennessee that he sold to a Mr Gantt pre 1840.
