    Jerry Lee Brightwell, of Protem, Mo. died early this morning, Nov. 9, 2005 in a car accident at the age of 58.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Urey Samuel Brightwell & Eastile Clarkson of Protem, Mo.

    Mr. Jerry Lee Brightwell, 58, of Protem, Mo., died on Wed., Nov. 9, in Rueter, Mo. He was the owner/operator of J.L. Brightwell & Sons Excavating for 35 years. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. in the Mark Twain School Gymnasium in Rueter, Mo., on Sat., Nov. 12. Burial will be in Protem Cemetery, Protem, Mo., with Masonic Rites. Visitation will be today, Nov. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Forsyth Whelchel Funeral Chapel.

    JERRY BRIGHTWELL

    Funeral services for Jerry Lee Brightwell, 58, of Protem, will be held
    at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, at the Mark Twain School gymnasium
    in Rueter. Burial, with Masonic rites, will be at Protem Cemetery. He
    died Nov. 9, 2005, in Rueter.

    Mr. Brightwell was born in Protem, the son of Urey and Eastle
    Brightwell. He owned J.L. Brightwell & Sons Excavating for three years, and was
    president and member of the Mark Twain School Board for 15 years. He
    was a member of the International Brotherhood of Freewill Masons, of
    which he was a Past Master at Sampson Lodge #298. He and his wife, Kathy,
    were married in Modesto, Calif., 37 years ago.

    Surviving are his wife, of the home; three sons, Scott Brightwell and
    wife Holly, of Raeford, N.C., Gregg Brightwell, of Independence, Kan.,
    and Brett Brightwell and wife Jessica, of Kissee Mills; one
    granddaughter, Riley; four brothers, Sam Brightwell, of Springer, Okla., Delmar
    Brightwell, of Ft. Worth, Texas, Donnie Brightwell, of Protem, and Kenneth
    Brightwell, of Springer, Okla.; and two sisters, Dorothy Godwin, of
    Branson, and Kay Brightwell, of Forsyth.

    He was preceded in death by his parents.
