- ↑ Jerome N. Gotee, brother of Mrs. E.S. Williams of Saginaw City, died at his residence on the 3d day of May, 1865, after a long and severe illness. Though in middle life, he was one of the pioneers of Saginaw county, and has shared largely in the confidence and esteem of his fellow citizens. Mr. Gotee held several public offices; was elected sheriff of Saginaw county, serving one or two terms with much credit, faithfully conducting the same, to the benefit of all concerned and with honor to himself.
