Mrs. Alice (Chadbourne 1) Donnell, who died 18 June 1744 in 81st year (gr.st.). He logged early for Henry Say-ward at Old Mill Creek and built a log ho. there; in 1684 got from Pres. Danforth a deed for Gorges Point which Rishworth claimed for Mrs. Nanny. Town gr. 1685; constable 1679; gr.j. often; Rep. 1692; joined with selectmen and James Plaisted to build the town-ho. 1698; selectm. 1700. Summonsed at times for retailing strong drink, threatening the constable, and abusing Mr. . Hooke. Lists 87, 278, 38. Will, 9 May 1727 (d. 26 Dec. 1731), names w., only son, only dau. and her husb., and 6 gr.ch. Presum. an unrec. s. Abel was arrested in Oct. 1696 for swearing, Arthur Bragdon and Jos. Pray bondsm., and had a gr. with Samuel Came in Mar. fol.; prob. the young Moulton taken at York in May 1697 (List 96) and the ‘Able Morton’ reported drowned in Jan. 1698 (List 99, p. 79)
