Will Transcript

In the name of God Amen, I Jane Beauchamp of the County of Saint Charles, and State of Missouri being in perfect health of body, and of sound and disposing mind and memory and understanding, considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time whereof; and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs, and thereby be the better prepared to leave the world when it shall please God to call me hence, do therefore make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following ~
First and principally, I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God, and my body to the earth, to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors herein after named, and after my funeral charges and debts shall be paid, I devise and bequeath as follows ~
I give and bequeath unto Benjamin Wardlaw of the County of Saint Charles, the House and lot of Ground on which I now live to him and his heirs forever ~
I give and bequeath to my beloved friend William W. Hall of the County of Saint Charles, one half of my money now in the handsw of Dr. Seth Millington, one Bureau, one dining Table, one Clock, six large Spoons, Sugar tongs and cream spoon.
I give and bequeath to Thomas Lindsay Senr, James Black and Samuel S. Watson, Elders of the Presbyterian Church of Saint Charles, the remaining moiety of the money in the hands of Dr. Seth Millington to be appropriated by them at their discretion to benevolent and charatable purposes, in the following manner namely, the moiety of money aforesaid supposed to be about three hundred dollars, to be loaned out the Correrver? giving bond with approved security and interest to be applied appropriated annually to the aforesaid purpose and after their deaths the elders of the Presbyterian Church of Saint Charles and their successors in office shall take charge of the aforesaid fund, and give the interest thereof, as it annually accrues descretion for the aforesaid purposes.
I grant and bequeath to my beloved friend Jane Millington of the County of Saint Charles, one bed and furniture and six chairs ~
I give and bequeath to my friend beloved friend Permelia Redmans of the County of Saint Charles, six Silver teaspoons, and three large silver table spoons.
I give and bequeath unto Isaac Beauchamp of Kentucky one pair of Silver Spoons, and one Silver watch.
I give and bequeath to my friend Thomas W. Cunningham of the county of Saint Charles, all my right title claim and interest; real and personal and mixed to the property given and bequeathed to me by my mother Ester Bell in her last will and testament who decd. in Nelson County, Kentucky.
I give and bequeath to the poor of my neighborhood the proceeds of the sale of the balance of my personal property, not heretofore bequeathed, to be disposed of among them, and distributed at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named.
And lastly I do hereby Constitute and appoint Seth Millington and Stugh H. Wardlaw, Executors of this my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former wills and testaments by me heretofore made ratifying and confirming this and none others to be my last will and testament.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this the eleventh day of July in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty three.

I William Christy Jnr. Clerk of the County Court within and for the County of Saint Charles Certify that on the 30th day of July A.D. 1833 for foregoing Will of Jane Beauchamp deceased was presented to me at my Office in the Town of Saint Charles in the County of Saint Charles for probate and N.F. Cayce and Dr. A.D. Watson two subscribing Witnesses thereto appeared before me and made Oath that Jane Beauchamp signed, sealed, acknowledged and declared the same to be her last will and testament, that she was of sound and disposing mind, and that they signed their names thereto, as Witnesses as thereby appears which said Will so proven is approved in common form of Law.
In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Court at Office in the Town of Saint Charles this tenth day of July 1833
